Be sure you include your full name and mailing address on the outside of the envelope and on the letter itself (because letters are sometimes delivered without the envelope, and he’ll have no way to write back if you don’t include this info inside the letter - and any letter without your full return contact info on the outside will be rejected). Do not include anything in the envelope other than a letter (but it’s OK to write it on the back of something you have photocopied). The letter must also include Stanley’s full name and his registration number on both the outside and the inside of the letter: Stanley Cohen 19846-052
In addition to letters, Stanley can receive paperback books, newspaper clippings, magazines, and other similar print items. It’s best to have these sent directly from the publisher or a bookstore or book club. However, it may also be possible to mail a soft cover book to him directly, if you include your full name and contact info in the book. No hard cover books are allowed - even if sent directly from the publisher. Newspapers and magazines must be sent directly from the publisher.
Remember that all letters will be read by prison officials. All publications will also be reviewed by prison officials and may be rejected due to content. The Anarchist Black Cross has a good guide to writing to prisoners It is not possible to send packages or other items to inmates.
Stanley Cohen 19846-052
U.S. Penitentiary Satellite Camp
P.O. Box 200 Waymart, PA 18472
The facility limits the visits the prisoners can receive to four per month. In addition, all visitors must be pre-screened by the BOP which includes an NCIC inquiry. Stanley needs to initiate the process by mailing you some paperwork from inside and he’ll need your full name and mailing address to be able to do that, so start by writing to him with that information and letting him know you’d like to visit. There is a maximum of 10 friends and associates that he is allowed to have on his approved visitors list at any one time, so please understand that we will need to coordinate to some degree.
