As some of you know I was in court today. It’s always a long day because we wake up at 5 to get chained up and packed in a van like animals. But it was all worth it to catch a few quick glimpses at Dana’s radiant face.
I don’t think a lot of people know that we’re not allowed to look back at our loved ones while we are in court, let alone strike up a conversation with them. So those quick glimpses are all we get.
Although the facility where I’m at allows visits, they would be behind glass and over a telephone so Dana and I abstain from being dehumanized in such a heartless way while I technically "enjoy the presumption of innocence" idealized by our nowadays downtrodden 6th Amendment.
Unfortunately we can’t buy the full transcript since his objection to the proceeding being ex parte was overruled. However we look forward to obtaining and publishing the full transcript at a later date.
After the courtroom the tension in the room was palpable. The judge had his face in his palm and his elbow on the desk. Marty was his usual happy self.
